Lungri Rural Municipality’s capital expenditure is 86.22 percent

Rolpa: Lungri Rural Municipality spent Rs. 405,367,789 out of the total allocated budget of Rs. 472,109,150 in the fiscal year 2081/82, achieving an expenditure rate of 85.86%. The rural municipality shared this information during the annual public hearing program of the last fiscal year.

Of the total allocated Rs. 309.58 million for recurrent expenditure, Rs. 264.20 million, or 85.28 percent, has been spent. Out of the total Rs. 163.92 million allocated for capital expenditure, Rs. 141.47 million, or 86.22 percent, has been spent.

The rural municipality received various grants from the federal and provincial governments. Under the federal equalization grant, Rs. 87.48 million has been spent, which is 91.7 percent of the total amount received.

Out of the total Rs. 178.011 million received under the federal conditional grant, Rs. 177.65 million, or 99.1 percent, has been spent. Similarly, the total amount of Rs. 24.325 million received under the federal capital grant has been fully utilized (100%).

The total amount of Rs. 30 million received under the federal special grant has also been fully spent (100%).

Likewise, of the Rs. 20 million received from the Lumbini Provincial Government under the special grant, Rs. 15.66 million, or 78.3 percent, has been spent. The Rs. 56.39 million received from the provincial equalization grant has been spent 100 percent.

Out of the Rs. 30 million received under the conditional current grant, Rs. 29 million, or 96.67 percent, has been spent. Out of the Rs. 85 million received as a capital grant, Rs. 57.28 million, or 67.4 percent, has been spent.

Out of the Rs. 70.5 million received under the supplementary grant, Rs. 49.50 million, or 70.21 percent, has been spent. Of the Rs. 100 million received from federal revenue sharing, Rs. 89.261 million, or 89.2 percent, has been spent, informed Lependra Bahadur Budhathoki, Acting Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality.

The municipality has received Rs. 5.951 million under provincial government revenue sharing against the estimated Rs. 5.192 million, which is 114.62 percent of the target.

The municipality has also collected Rs. 7.021 million in internal resources against the target of Rs. 5.442 million, which is 129 percent of the target. The bank balance stands at Rs. 15.8 million as per the annual estimate.
