According to the information provided by the Agricultural Knowledge Center Rolpa, paddy sowing has been completed in most parts of the district by the end of Ashar. This year, it has been found that the sowing has been done quickly due to timely rains.
Out of the 4500 hectares of paddy cultivated in the district paddy sowing has been completed in all areas by mid-Ashar, informed the Deputy Assistant of the Agricultural Knowledge Center Rolpa, Pabitra oli. In the case of the district, especially in the Triveni ravine, Madi and Lungri ravines, she said that more paddy is produced.
Paddy is produced in various areas of Triveni rural municipality, Runtigadhi rural municipality, Sunilsmriti rural municipality, Lungri and Madi rural municipality. Paddy cultivation is mostly done on the banks of Lungri and Madi rivers here.
Paddy sowing started earlier this year compared to last year. According to statistics, 12,993 metric tons of rice were produced in Rolpa last year.
